Collection: City on Cloth wool/silk scarves
These stunning scarves were originally made by Helen exclusively for her stand at Handmade in Britain's Chelsea show in November each year.
Helen wanted to use the fabric printed down the side of the silk when the map scarves are printed in Macclesfield and she also had a collection of beautiful wool and wool cashmere fabrics bought from visits to the Scottish Borders. She wanted to make items that men would buy, slightly longer and usually darker wools than her usual Harris tweed scarves.
These scarves have been so popular her stash is now exhausted that she now buys the wool from Edinburgh Fabrics. The tweeds are mostly Abraham Moon herringbones from Yorkshire. The drape on this tweed is exquisite and it's lighter feel suits the silk backing so well.
With the evolution of Helen's map scarf collection has come a brand new range, which we're delighted to bring to the website.
All the scarves in this collection are different, the sections of maps vary. If you have a particular area/street we can try and accommodate this, please email to enquire before ordering.
