7 Ways to Style Your Silk Scarf

Obviously we are big fans of silk square scarves, they are classic pieces that never date and are versatile investment pieces to be worn for years! That’s why it’s important to be familiar with the different ways to style them to get the most out of your scarves for years to come. 
Once you can style them effectively silk squares can become the most low-effort and stunning way to elevate any look.

Let's start with the obvious, the no knot style. This is the most minimal effort, yet still chic style. We love this with a plain dark t-shirt and jeans but really it can be worn with anything. This look works well with a larger scarf to show off the full design and also just to give the weight to keep it in place. 

If you are a little more active throughout the day or find the weight of the scarf doesn’t keep it in place you can always just slightly adjust this style with a low knot in the two ends of the scarf. This will weigh the scarf down and keep it in place while still showing off the design.

Our second look is the French knot worn to the side we find this works better with a slightly smaller square (think Antoni Porowski) and while with a little less impact than the first look, it can be a lot more practical, whilst still adding that pop of colour.

From the glamorous to a more casual look, here we have the cowboy. This more modern style needs less constructing than others and can be put together on the go whilst still looking great. Again, like the ‘low knot’ look if you want a really sturdy low maintenance style you can add a small knot to the open ends at the bottom.

This folded look is another simple ‘throw on’ style that shows off the pattern of your silk scarf perfectly. This would look best using a larger scarf, the one pictured is 90x90, to get the length either side. All it takes is a little folding prior to placing it around the neck and you have an understated yet impactful look.

For our penultimate look think Jackie O, think convertible cars and wind in your hair. This vintage head scarf style is classic and practical whilst showing off the design of your silk scarf perfectly! Best worn with large sunglasses and a red lip. 

The final style we have to showcase is that classic 1950s retro style for that pin up girl look. This style is a really fun way to brighten up your look and a chic way to cover up on a day your hair just won’t sit how you want it! This style takes a little practice and a few bobby pins but it's worth persevering because it offers a unique vintage look.
